Pre Musical Theater Dance introduces jazz concepts in a fun way! Students will begin to learn the foundations of the Musical Theater Dance technique including proper posture, upper and lower body positions, and locomotor steps, while continuing to use props and playing fun games.Every five weeks they'll focus on a different musical!

DRESS CODE: (Girls) black leotard and black tights and black jazz + tap shoes required. (Boys) black leggings, white t-shirt and jazz + tap shoes. Hair must be pulled back.

Tiny Dancer - Monday and Wednesdays 4:30am - 5:15pm

Session Dates: June 23rd - July 6th, 2 week session 30 minute class

Registration required, repeatable. One class per week.

Tiny Dancer is a creative movement class that encourages self-discipline and self-confidence while incorporating coordination, large motor skills and rhythm. Children will learn movement skills through music, stories and imaginative games. Props such as bean-bags, hula-hoops, and parachutes will be used to explore different movement qualities, shapes, levels and dynamics.

DRESS CODE: Children should wear comfortable clothing and be sock free unless they are wearing ballet shoes. Hair needs to be pulled back. They may wear leotard and tights as well.

Dancers in this class are not required to be potty trained and be able to participate in the class without their parent in the room. PARENT MUST STAY IN THE BUILDING

To schedule a makeup class, please email dovetailstudios@gmail.com. All make ups must be completed by May 1st. There are only 4 make ups allowed per session. Dancers must make up in a class of a similar level or age group. Make ups do not roll over to the next session.

Pre Hip Hop Tuesday/Thurs 4:30pm

Two week session: June 23rd - July 6th

Ages 6 - 8

Class description: (Ages 6-8) Pre Hip Hop is an introduction to the hip hop techniques. This class is packed with fun while learning skills to develop agility, rhythm, creativity and spunk. The short two week session is a great way to have your child dip their toes into hip hop and see if it's the dance form for them!

Youth Jazz

Session June 23rd - July 6th (NO CLASS 7/4)

Tuesday and Thursday 4:30 - 5:30

Youth Jazz is a class where students expand on the basics of Jazz technique. Students will practice coordination of arms and legs, isolations, and other fundamentals of jazz technique.

DRESS CODE: (Boys) white shirt, black pants and bare feet (Girls) Black leotard, black tights, shorts allowed over tights, and bare feet

TARDY POLICY: If you are more than 5 minutes late to class, without giving the instructor advance notice you will be tardy, you will not be allowed into class that day.
