If we don’t know where we’ve been, how can we know where we are going? The Bhagavad Gita’s wisdom is just as valuable and applicable today as it was when it was composed circa the 5th-2nd century BCE.
This three-part workshop elucidates practitioners to Classical Yoga’s origins as a spiritual path through the study of selected slokas of The Bhagavad Gita. In this workshop, we will move further down the philosophical path of Yoga, learning the historical origins of The Bhagavad Gita, why multiple yoga paths (margas) are given as antidotes to Arjuna’s dharmic crisis, as well as understanding the three (or four!) Margas. Through the study of the Marga definitions: Karma Yoga, Jñāna Yoga, and Bhakti Yoga as given in The Bhagavad Gita, practitioners will gain ancient wisdom grounding for the catchphrase, “Take your yoga off the mat.”
This weekend workshop will be led by Rachel Joyce.
