Come and experience a profound state of relaxation with our ACU-YIN YOGA 90 minute SPECIALITY CLASS with Laura
ACU-YIN YOGA combines the ancient wisdom of yoga (yin) and acupuncture (pins) or acupressure (using similar key points without pins if you prefer) providing a deeply restful and healing experience.
Indulge in a floor based practice suitable for all abilities where you are guided into postures that are held for 3 to 5 minutes. The longer holds allow your muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia to gently lengthen and slowly release. It is not completely passive, it is a journey within to find just the right amount of ease (Yin) and just the right amount of effort (Yang). Props are used throughout the class for extra support.
The acupuncture points are selected to align with the theme of the class and the small accupuncture pins are inserted to these points in your final resting pose (pins are optional) Combining these two powerhouse healing practices can support a more profound level of relaxation, balance and well-being.
About your facilitator:
Laura is the founder of Nautilus Acupuncture. As an Acupuncturist, Emergency Nurse and Yoga teacher she blends her deep passion for Eastern medical practices with her knowledge and experience of Western Medicine.
She was naturally drawn to Yin Yoga after moving to the Sunshine Coast 6years ago and has completed 150 additional hours of Yin training. The practice and philosophy of Yoga is deeply intertwined into her clinical work, community education and life as a busy mum.

Each week we will focus on a key pose to unlock, indulge in and take your yoga to new and creative places and spaces. Each class will be well rounded with Mindful movement, key pose, pranayama (breath work) and Meditation &/or Yoga Nidra.
It will be in the Yoga NRG Studio so each week we will make use of props, essential oils and a different soundtrack each session to soothe & inspire the soul.

A challenging Vinyasa (Flow) style of Yoga adapted for “every body” which means there will be options to intensify & modify as we flow.
This class focuses on stretch and strength with fluid, dynamic postures. This practice will challenge the body and invigorate the mind, encouraging a heightened concentration and deep focus. The heated room will provide a detox that will warm you up for winter (the heat will be kept at a temperature that is nourishing without it being overwhelming)
