In this workshop Beyond The Mat we will be diving into the art
of Movement Exploration. A true fusion of the Yoga and Dance worlds
combined. All levels of yogis are welcome to join. No dance
experience necessary! And modifiable for all bodies.
This 2 hour workshop will include a vinyasa flow warmup sequence
consisting of the fundamentals of yoga. Building up to introducing
contemporary and modern dance styles, along with some fun
improvisation techniques and group exercises moving across the
floor.
The last hour you will learn a unique and exciting choreographed Dance to music, where we will explore and tie together dance, yoga postures, transitions, and floor work. And lastly, we will close with a restorative guided meditation that focuses on cultivating relaxation to seal our practice. Come have fun and discover a more creative and different side of yoga. Let’s play! And move together beyond the mat.

Have you ever felt uncertain or even uncomfortable when a pregnant student attends your class? This course will build upon the basics introduced during your 200-hour training and give you the tools to integrate pregnant people into an inclusive and beneficial group asana class.
With a combination of discussion, use of props during practice, and practice teaching, we will dive deeper into the physical and emotional changes experienced throughout pregnancy and create the opportunity for you to practice adjusting your sequences in real time.
While gaining confidence in including pregnant bodies, you may also find yourself gaining skills to include a wider variety of bodies and abilities!"
