Part 1: We will meet for two days, Oct. 19 and 26 (2:00 to 4:00), at The Yoga Place.
Learning to teach chair yoga is fun! Two experienced teachers will provide you with the instruction, the support and the plans for teaching a successful chair yoga class that will keep up your participant's enthusiasm. Includes a manual.
Part 2: We will pick our 3rd day with consensus from the participants in part 1. A certification will be given after part 2.
(Studying philsophy, ethics and anatomy is more a part of our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course. In this chair-yoga training we will discuss some of that--especially anatomy and how it pertains to an older demographic--but the focus of this course is how to lead an active chair yoga class that is fun, healthy, rewarding and beneficial for your students.)

Reiki is an energy transforming technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support transformation.
Restorative Yoga, as the name suggests, is a style of yoga that helps “restore” the body to its parasympathetic nervous system function. In turn this helps the body rest, and restore balance. By allowing time for longer asanas (postures or poses) and deeper breathing, restorative yoga helps elicit the relaxation response.
These two practices combined makes for a peaceful and releasing experience. Everything will be provided but feel free to bring your favorite blanket or throw to cover up with and make sure to dress comfortably. $25
