Nutrition for Your Unique Nature
Food can be medicine or it can
be poison and one size does not fit all. The right formula depends
on who, what, how, and when we eat. Discover your optimal
well-being by exploring the six tastes.
In this workshop, we will begin
by preparing a light meal together (chicken and vegetable stew). As
we prepare, we will discuss which ingredients are balancing for
Kapha season (late winter into spring). While the stew is cooking,
we will review what, how and when to eat according to your dosha
(your unique natural tendencies) based on the principles of
AyurvedaWe will wrap up our discussion around the table, as we
enjoy the fruits of our labor. A collaboration of ideas and
experiences always enhances the workshop as we learn from each
other.
You will receive a print-out of
material for taking notes as well as resource to refer back to. In
additon, you will receive The Six Tastes Shopping List (a chart
listing which foods fall under which tastes) and an ingredient list
of the stew to take home with you.
Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old science of life from India teaching you how to balance your unique nature using the elements of nature. Explore the six tastes of Ayurveda for your unique formula for nutrition. Learn what, how, and when to eat according to your dosha and the time of day. A light meal will be served utilizing the six tastes.
This workshop will be hosted at Betsy Bergman's private residence in Highlands. Exact address will be disclosed upon registration.
