This milonga class introduces participants to the foundational elements of milonga, a lively and rhythmic dance that is one of the three main styles of Argentine tango. Milonga is characterized by its playful and fast-paced movements, set to a distinctive and upbeat musical style.
In this class, participants will learn the basic steps and patterns of milonga, including the signature quick triple steps (known as “traspie”), linear movements, and circular patterns. The instructor will guide the class through partner work and technique, emphasizing connection and musicality.
