A Journey Within: Somatic Healing Series

Experience a yoga journey like no other with our Journey Within series. This class combines the essence of a women's circle with movement, healing practices and yoga, spanning 75-90 minutes each week and providing handouts and take-home resources.

Led by Trista Davis, an adept trauma-informed yoga instructor and somatic coach, Journey Within aims to deepen your understanding of your nervous system and forge a robust, confident relationship with it. Each session is an immersive blend of discussion, breathwork, mantra, physical practice, grounding techniques, and more.

Here's what you'll discover in each week of our transformative 6-week series:

Week 1: Awakening the Body-Mind Connection Start your journey by awakening the intimate connection between your body and mind. Learn to listen to the language of your body, and unlock your inner wisdom through gentle movement, breathwork, and mindfulness practices. Dive into discussions on somatic resourcing and the window of tolerance, gaining invaluable insights into your nervous system.

Week 2: Cultivating Groundedness and Stability Find your anchor amidst life's storms as we focus on cultivating groundedness and stability. Through grounding postures, mindful movement, and breath awareness techniques, you'll develop resilience and grace in facing life's challenges. Discover the power of the 5 Channels of Awareness to heal your nervous system and foster a sense of strength within.

Week 3: Releasing Tension and Emotions Release the burdens weighing on your soul and set yourself free. Delve into the powerful practice of releasing tension and emotions stored within your body, creating space for restoration and balance. Explore the emotion wheel and the titration of the nervous system, gaining profound insights into your emotional well-being.

Week 4: Cultivating Compassion and Self-Acceptance Nurture a deeper sense of compassion and acceptance towards yourself. Learn to embrace your vulnerabilities and imperfections with kindness and love, fostering greater resilience and self-love. Gain understanding on patterns of dysregulation and discover how compassion can heal and transform your life.

Week 5: Integrating Mind, Body, and Spirit Unite the three pillars of your being - mind, body, and spirit - into perfect harmony. Learn powerful tools to find safety in stillness and unlock the transformative potential of meditation. Dive into discussions on why meditation can be challenging due to our nervous system and explore techniques to overcome these obstacles.
