Salem Retreat

Join Trista for a week in Salem, a true bucket list experience, where almost everything is included. Please read thourouly through everything to make sure that this trip is a good fit for you.

Things of note:We will be sharing two houses and 6 bathrooms, you will be expected to help with meal clean up at the house and keeping your own space and shared spaces tidy.

Your only addional expenses:

-Transport to and from the airport (Ubers are about $35 US and you can share with others)

- 1 Lunch

- 1 Dinner

-SHOPPING... there is lots and lots of shopping...

-flights

Here is a rough itinerary, we will do all of these things unless something changes before 2025, but I will make sure we do all the things that are worth doing!

The Salem Trolley provides visitors with a narrated one hour tour through beautiful and historic Salem. Explore Salem’s witchcraft trials of 1692 or travel beyond the witchcraft hysteria into the fascinating realm of Salem's literary and maritime history.

Our eight mile ride around the city takes you past the Charter Street Burial Ground, the House of the Seven Gables, Witch Dungeon Museum, Salem Witch Museum, the historic waterfront area and other locations, including Chestnut Street considered to be one of the most beautiful streets in America.

Your professional driver and talented local tour guide will entertain you with factual history and interesting tidbits about Salem.

Dusk transforms the city of Salem. As the city of renown seafarers and distinguished architecture fades into the shadows, a new Salem of the occult and paranormal emerges.

Visit scenes of grisly murders and ghastly executions, hear tales of ghosts, both mischievous and malevolent, of Salem's haunted hotels and restaurants, of long forgotten underground passageways, ancient curses, and legends of ghost ships and haunted islands.

Rebecca Nurse Homestead Tour

Immerse yourself in 1692 by visiting the 17th century homestead of Rebecca Nurse. Sitting on 25 beautiful acres in the heart of what was known as Salem Village (today the town of Danvers), it was from this home that 71-year-old Rebecca Nurse was arrested on charges of Witchcraft in March of 1692. Hear the heart-wrenching story of the oldest woman executed during the Salem Witch Trials in a replica of the Meeting House where she was accused. While you’re here, visit the family burial ground where her family is said to have secretly laid to rest.

Designated a National Historic Landmark District in 2007, The House of the Seven Gables is best known today as the setting of world-renowned American author Nathaniel Hawthorne’s 1851 novel. But it is so much more! Learn about four centuries of inclusive history at one of America’s most beloved historic homes.
