Did you know that fascia is our body's communication super highway? When we have restrictions in joint mobility it is often related to fascial adhesions, which reduce the body's ability to facilitate proper flow of blood, lymph and electrical signaling that is critical to our health and vitality. This lack of good physical and energetic flow creates stress in our bodies.
Part of being alive is dealing with stress and stress comes in many forms. Our nervous system however, does not differentiate between different types of stress (emotional, structural or chemical), it is all just information being received into the brain and spinal cord, so when we alleviate stress in one area, it helps reduce our overall stress load.
The coping methods we use to help manage stress are often what determines how good or bad we feel. Embodiment practices offer a wonderful solution to help manage stress by releasing tension and trauma that are often stored in our tissues.
In this workshop we will learn about the 3 main types of stress (physical, chemical, emotional) and how to use self myofascial release and qigong to help reduce stress. Gwyn will be sharing practices that help break up extra fascia that has been laid down (which usually happens because the body senses instability in the joint) and then teach Qigong forms that help facilitate better bioelectric conductivity (energy flow) throughout or fascia, which as mentioned, is the body's communication super highway.
This workshop will teach you myofascial release techniques and qigong forms that work to create better balance within the body’s fascial, nervous and bioelectrical systems. Some of the things we will explore include…

Prerequisite: Previous participation in a Wednesday night breathwork session at Be Love is required.

This 2-hour immersive workshop is designed to help us get into our body, connect with our inner child, and release the years of trauma stored in the fascia. We will explore and identify our core human needs, attachment patterns, and how to reestablish the mind-body connection through reflective journaling, meditation, movement, breathwork, and somatic techniques. This empowering container will provide practical tools for nervous system regulation, authentic communication, trauma release, and a deeper connection to our true selves or the child within.
