Reformer Pilates Instructor Training
Dec 6, 2025 - Dec 7, 2025

Reformer Pilates Teacher Training

Elevate your teaching. Deepen your practice. Transform your approach to mindful movement.

This comprehensive Reformer Pilates Teacher Training is designed for yoga, fitness, and movement professionals looking to expand their skillset and deliver intelligent, empowering, and mindful Reformer classes. Through hands-on learning, practical application, and guided mentorship, you’ll gain the tools and confidence to teach Reformer Pilates with precision, creativity, and purpose.

Course Highlights

1. Reformer Anatomy & Mechanics

Gain a deep understanding of the Reformer’s structure and function. Learn the anatomy of each component—carriage, springs, footbar, pulleys, ropes, and shoulder blocks—and how they work together to create resistance and support. Explore proper equipment setup, spring tension variations, and how to modify the machine to fit every body type safely and effectively.

2. Class Planning & Programming

Learn how to structure a balanced and effective Reformer class from start to finish. We’ll break down class formats for strength, mobility, balance, and endurance, and teach you how to sequence exercises that flow seamlessly while maintaining intelligent progression. You’ll leave with templates for multiple class formats and the confidence to design your own cohesive sessions.

3. Welcoming Beginners

Develop the skills to confidently teach first-time Reformer clients. Understand common fears and challenges, and learn cueing strategies, modifications, and progressions that ensure safety and success. Create an inclusive, encouraging environment where every participant feels seen, supported, and capable.

4. Teaching to All Levels

Master the art of layering movement and offering options for every level—from beginner to advanced athlete. Learn to read the room, adjust in real time, and guide mixed-level classes with ease and professionalism. You’ll explore how to build strength and skill safely while challenging experienced clients to refine their form and focus.

5. Creating a Cohesive Class Flow

Discover how to transform a series of exercises into a seamless, intelligent experience. You’ll practice linking movements with purpose, using transitions that maintain rhythm and energy, and balancing intensity with recovery. The result: classes that feel intentional, empowering, and complete.

6. Safety & Alignment

Prioritize proper alignment and injury prevention in every session. Learn key anatomical landmarks, contraindications, and how to spot and correct misalignments. Develop a keen eye for form while maintaining a supportive and mindful teaching style.

7. Music Integration

Explore how to use music as a motivational and energetic tool to enhance your Reformer classes. Learn how tempo, rhythm, and emotion influence movement quality, pacing, and focus. Whether you prefer a slow, mindful flow or an upbeat sculpt-style session, you’ll discover how to curate playlists that complement your class design and elevate the experience.

8. Mindfulness on the Reformer

Bring intention and awareness to the physical practice. Learn to weave breathwork, body awareness, and mindfulness cues into your teaching so that every class feels grounding, focused, and transformative. This section blends the precision of Pilates with the presence of yoga—helping clients connect more deeply to their bodies and breath.

By the end of this training, you will:

  • Confidently teach safe, effective, and inspiring Reformer classes.
  • Understand Reformer anatomy and mechanics for smart programming.
  • Integrate music, mindfulness, and flow into your classes.
  • Offer creative, multi-level progressions and modifications.
  • Lead with confidence, compassion, and a deep understanding of movement.

Winter Solstice Celebration: Warm Gentle Flow + Yin Candlelight Yoga
Dec 20, 2025 - Dec 20, 2025
The Winter Solstice marks the first day of the Winter season, and the shortest, darkest day of the year. There is a feeling of pause associated with winter, where we search for reprieve from the cold, seeking coziness and warmth in body and soul.

Join us at Anderson Yoga Center for a very special Gentle Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga class, enjoyed by the glow of candlelight, guided by studio owner, Megan Schlobohm, honoring the change of season and new themes it brings alongside. This class is perfect for all levels of practice, from first-timers to long-timers. Students will be led through gentle vinyasa movements, as well as restful Yin Yoga postures, to invite the light and warmth within to shine bright through the cold months of Winter. Students will want to dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat.

Saturday, December 20 @ 5pm with Megan Schlobohm, $24/pp

Pre-registration is required for all classes and events. You can reserve your space through our branded app under Workshops/Events.

Breath, Past Lives, + Spirit Guides
Jan 10, 2026 - Jan 10, 2026
Join us at Anderson Yoga Center for Breath, Past Lives, + Spirit Guides, a collaborative experience of Transformational Breathwork, Past Life Regression Meditation, and an introduction to meeting your Spirit Guides, co-hosted by Matt Tellier of Half Acre Holistics and Tara Kiprik of Cosmic Connections QHHT.

To begin this class, Matt will guide you through an energetic breathwork practice that will help you move into a deeper felt sense of Self. You may have an opportunity to release stuck emotions and stagnant energy while experiencing more self-love, clarity, and inner peace.

After the breathwork, you will be in a heightened state of receiving — feeling deeply relaxed and meditative. In this state, Tara will seamlessly guide you on a journey by seeing, hearing, and/or feeling — a past life you have lived. The experience concludes with a visit from your spirit guide or guardian angel, where you will receive a message from them.

Past life regression sessions can be healing, eye-opening and enlightening. When you experience a past life, you are given a chance to experience memories you are not aware of during normal consciousness. Becoming aware of these memories or events allows for a deeper understanding of the life you are living now. It may help unlock trauma, explain anxiety, or even give context to a disease you are dealing with today. You may also be shown happiness in a previous life, a reminder of your worth and power, inspiring you to live a good life again. It can be incredibly liberating and healing to gain an understanding of why things are the way they are. Participants should bring something to write on to record their experience, as it starts to fade like a dream once you awaken.

Matt Tellier is a BreathewithJP certified breathwork teacher and owner of Half Acre Holistics LLC in Greenville. He has practiced breathwork for eight years and began teaching in 2019.

Tara Kiprik is a certified Level 2 Quantum Healing Hypnosis Practitioner (QHHT) and owner of Cosmic Connections QHHT. She is certified in Soul Speak, the language of your body, and a Spiritual Coach.

*(Breathwork may not be advisable for those with certain health conditions such as but not limited to heart conditions, seizure disorders, severe mental illness, or those who are pregnant, or taking certain medications. Please reach out if you have any concern, please review our waiver, and always discuss with your physician to decide what is right for you.)
