Yoga Teacher Training is an amazing journey. You will find yourself with like-minded people from all walks of life, with different attitudes and beliefs, brought together by a love for yoga. There are many courses available. EYH adheres to the requirements of the Yoga Alliance. You will learn how to stand up in front of a classroom of students and deliver a yoga sequence that you have developed. You will also be trained in anatomy, teaching methods, philosophy, and the history of yoga.

Why EYH

We are a fourteen-year-old studio that focuses on relationships and the community. The class size is kept small to focus on the individual rather than a group setting. Your Teacher Training will consist of 200 hours of training, of which 180 hours will be face-to-face contact with senior instructors who care about your success. During your Teacher Training, specialists will be invited to deliver information and share different perspectives on specific modules.

What if you need extra help?

We will be available to support you if a session is missed or if you just need additional repetition. One of our lead teachers will be happy to spend extra time with you if you need more time to absorb the information.

Resources

EYH will provide a Syllabus (see below), and a 200 Hour Manual so that you can learn from the group and learn in your own time. The book, ‘Light on Yoga’ by BKS Iyengar, will be required and referred to often throughout the training.

How long is this Teacher Training?

Teacher Training starts February 6, 2026. We will meet two weekends a month (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from 9:00-5:00 except for the 2 weekends in May which will start on Friday at 5:00 pm. with Graduation on May 24, 2026.  We know you all have busy lives and that this training is a large commitment. By meeting twice a month, students have the time to process the information, study, and allow for the training to work alongside you in their everyday lives

Finances

Teacher Training costs $3,200. A $500.00 down payment reserves your spot. Half of the full amount needs to be provided by Feb 6th and the remaining balance by April 15^th. The $500 deposit is non-refundable after February 5, 2026. We believe everyone who has the desire should be given the opportunity to teach, and we will work with you if additional payment arrangements are needed.
