It focuses on developing children's fine and gross motor skills, class discipline, musicality, balance, posture, strength and flexibility, focus, and spatial awareness.
Class Placement: Completed Pre-Ballet I by Instructor Approval or 5 yrs old by September 1, 2025.
Average Time of Level Completion: 2-3 Semesters
This class builds upon the pre-ballet curriculum taught in Pre-Ballet II and introduces new ballet steps, vocabulary, and concepts. Students continue to develop gross and fine motor skills, strength and flexibility, rhythm, musicality, discipline, body and spatial awareness, balance, posture, coordination, cooperation, working with a partner, creativity, stage directions and patterns, and self-expression.
Class Placement: Completed Pre-Ballet II by Instructor Approval or 6 yrs old by January 1, 2026.
Performing Opportunities: This class performs at the end of the school year Showcase, A Celebration of Dance. There is a small performance fee for the rental of costuming elements used in the production.
