January 14 - Neuroscience of Building
Resilience Through Yoga with Bill Ryan, Ph.D., R.N.,
RYT® 500
This seminar will provide a brief overview of the human
nervous system before exploring the
autonomic nervous system in more detail. Polyvagal Theory will serve as a primary foundation
for exploring how and why we respond to stressful situations and how our emotions and
breathing are closely linked to autonomic function. Practical yoga solutions to stress and
building resilience will be explored in the context of neuroplasticity using both top-down and
bottom-up approaches.

February 11 - Yoga in Clinical Care
Settings with Brianna DeSpain, E-RYT® 500, YACEP®, LMT, Nursing
Student
Yoga is required in the health care setting to help bring
balance to the care of clients/patients as well as the staff who
work tirelessly to provide that care. The techniques taught in this
workshop are intended to benefit clients by restoring nervous
system balance and tissue health, all while remaining within the
scope of practice and respecting the boundaries of other cultures.
You will also leave with skills designed specifically for you, the
nurse, provider, or caregiver, who deserve and require
self-care.
March 11 - Balancing Caring for Your Patients and
Caring for Yourself with Kim Blumenfeld, RN, MSN, RYT® 200
Kim is an Excellence in Teaching Award Winner and Integrative
Nursing Faculty Fellowship recipient at the University of Arizona
College of Nursing. Who are you? Why are you? What energy do you

explore using self-compassion tools, mindfulness

Meditation with David Kleinman, RYT® 200
Heal, soothe, restore, and connect with this amazing outdoor
practice.
