Assessment
requirement: Students wishing to join this course
must complete at least 24
weeks of the Bachata Fundamentals course and actively social
dancing for at least 6 months AND pass an assessment to
enroll. ALL students wishing to move up a level (from
Fundamentals or higher) at Baza must obtain permission from the
instructor via assessment.
Sensual Foundations is designed to introduce and refine the essential movements and techniques of Bachata Sensual, focusing on connection principles, partner responsiveness, and musical expression. This course is not just about learning moves - it's about understanding the mechanics behind them, deconstructing them for creativity, and executing them with precision and artistry.By the end of the course students will:
- Effectively execute and transition between varuous sensual bachata elements,
- Understand and execute body movements and isolations in partner dance with more precision and control,
- Add dynamics to their dancing through sensual basic and bolero technique,
- Master their connection and frame using different holds,
- Make their dance more playful and effective by listening and responding to the energy changes in the music.

No prior sensual bachata
experience needed, but familiarity with it is advantageous Register
