A sister science to yoga and, literally, “the science of life”, Ayurveda teaches us how to live in rhythm, find personal balance, prevent and reverse the root causes of disease and align with our true nature as spirit. Learn the fundamental theories, concepts and principles of Ayurveda and how to apply them in a way that works for your personal constitution and lifestyle. Immerse yourself in the spiritual connection between Yoga and Ayurveda as foundational practices of holistic wellbeing.
The weekend will include constitutional assessments guided by Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and ERYT Kirsten Ahern, personalized Ayurvedic nutrition and introduction to daily routine (dinacharya) and sensory therapies, including chromotherapy, aromatherapy, sound therapy and self-massage (abhyanga). Asana, pranayama and meditation practices will be offered daily to help you immerse in the mandala of self healing. Those participating in the module for YA CE Credit or for YTT purposes will complete short extra-curricular reading and reflection assignments in order to complete their 25 hours.
