What to Expect:
In the Intro to Pole level of our Pole Dancing curriculum, you will
begin each lesson with a warm up and some fun floor work designed
to make for great dance and transition elements in your pole
routines, but also to build your strength for the pole work. You'll
then spend the rest of each class learning the foundations of
movement on and around the pole, starting from walking around the
pole, and progressing to introductory strength and spin moves on a
static pole. You'll finish off most classes by “dancing it out”
where your instructor will lead you through some freestyle dance or
basic choreography on the pole, followed by a short cooldown and
stretch.
Students entering Advanced Bar are expected to be able to Straddle Invert on the side bar, perform Ball Inversions in the Hoop, execute clean Pullovers (straight legs not required), Front Balance, and comfortably hold a Half Hip Hold (Halfsie). Advanced Aerial Hoop is focused on single tab work and interacting with the spanset, rolls, dynamic moves/transitions, as well as advanced strength foundations (meathook, balances, heel and toe hangs, c-shaping,etc.). C-Shaping is introduced at the Advanced level and training will continue through Masters.
To work on Masters level movements, students should be familiar with and have successfully completed the majority of the Advanced curriculum. Masters Bar Students will work on increasingly difficult poses with more complicated transitions on single tab hoop, double tab hoop, trapeze, and any other apparatus that the instructor deems acceptable. This class will feature the latest, greatest, trendiest moves and will approach flips and release moves. Enrollment in this class is by instructor invitation only. This is not meant to be exclusionary but is a safety precaution, as the moves in this class should be attempted by only very experienced, strong bar students. If you are new to our studio and think you might belong in this class, please contact the studio to arrange an assessment.

Join us for a FREE Jingle Jam to celebrate the holidays and wrap up 2025 with Brass Butterflies.
What’s a “Jingle Jam” you ask? A “jam” is an open practice with a social vibe. Hang out with your studio besties or make new ones as we listen to some cool tunes, play around on the poles and aerial equipment, share some holiday treats, and maybe even do a little holiday karaoke (Mariah anyone?). You could even use this time to complete some of the Anniversary Challenge tasks (head over to Social Media or check out the display in reception at the studio for more details about the Anniversary Challenge).
This Social Butterflies event is being held for our studio community of current and former students so you can connect and have fun with other students outside of your classes. Drop in anytime you like and stay as long as you like between 7:30-10:00pm. There are a couple of classes going on during this time so the jam will be held in the other rooms of the studio.
This event is FREE but please RSVP by registering in Wellness Living so we know how many people to expect (and can prepare enough treats). Please cancel your registration if you'll no longer be attending.
