
This is a replay of a 2-1/2 hour workshop originally offered on July 13, 2024.
Join Melissa on a mid-summer day to flow through the body, taking time to connect and unwind with each part. From the feet to the head and neck, we will gently journey through the body offering movements that circulate and massage the joints, pump the lymph and restore the nervous system. There will be a long relaxation at the end to send you off revived and restored.
Please have on hand: two tennis balls, one large athletic sock, and a therapy ball for which you can adjust the inflation level, like this one HERE.

July’s Yoga Lab topic is Arm Balancing, an empowering, fun, neglected family of asanas. Arm Balancings are wonderful for increasing overall arm, shoulder, and core strength, contributing to stronger bones. They also improve balance reflexes and coordination, and stimulate our sense of playful possibility. Ever been intrigued by poses like Handstand, Crow, or even Side Plank and thought “No way I could ever do that!”? With Sara’s careful step-by-step technique, props and encouragement, ALL will find an Arm Balance that works for them. Come learn to fly! This workshop will be accompanied by a short practice video that is yours to keep.

As we near the end of Summer, take a moment to pause, rest, reflect and restore. In this workshop, originally recorded August 17, 2024, Melissa guides you through a sequence of Yin and restorative postures accompanied by silence and selected readings. Offer yourself an afternoon of deep rest to restore your nervous system and your heart during this season of change.
