Join Melissa for this special class series that will work with building deep strength through therapeutic movements, Yoga asanas, free weights, and resistance bands. After age 30, we begin to lose 3-8% of muscle mass each decade. By the time we are between the ages of 50-70 years old we could lose up to 30% of our peak muscle mass. This loss of true strength impacts the health of our bones, joints, overall energy and functional movement. This class will bring together the best of both worlds - Yoga and resistance work to improve lean muscle mass. Sometimes music will be included along with some full body rhythmic movements to support bone and muscle strength.
Each class will begin with a gentle warm up and complete with relaxing stretches.

be integrated into your personal practice so you can continue

Tension in our bodies often occurs unconsciously and can arise from mental, emotional, and physical stressors in our lives. While not all tension causes pain, all tension does use energy and can eventually lead to fatigue and burnout.
Over this 4-week series you will be invited to slow down, move within your comfort, and be in relationship with yourself.
