Healing through Mindful Movement and Meditation
This gentle, nurturing yoga series is created for individuals with a history of cancer and for the caregivers and loved ones who support them. Together, we’ll create a compassionate space to reconnect with the body, ease tension, rebuild strength and balance, and cultivate resilience. Through accessible movement, mindful breathwork, and guided meditation, participants are invited to move at their own pace while fostering community, hope, and renewed confidence.
No prior yoga experience is required. Individuals with a history of cancer are warmly welcome, and caregivers are equally encouraged to attend—whether alongside their loved one or on their own.
Research shows that gentle yoga and meditation can help reduce common cancer-related side effects such as fatigue, anxiety, and low mood while supporting overall well-being. This series is led by Denise Spector, a yoga instructor, who is also an oncology nurse practitioner and integrative health practitioner, with a deep commitment to supporting cancer survivors in their healing journey.
An Evening of Gentle Movement, Sound Healing, Intuitive Reflection & Soulful Sisterhood
Facilitated by Alexis Besosa, E-RYT-200 & Crystal Bright, Musician & Sound Healer
Step into a sacred space created just for women — a nurturing circle where you can soften, release, and reconnect with your inner wisdom and the healing power of community.
Over the course of two hours, we’ll move through a thoughtfully crafted journey together:
- Opening & Centering – Arrive fully, ground into the space, and set intentions.
- Vocal Toning & Mantra — simple, guided sounds that free the voice, move energy, (like humming Om or Solfeggio frequencies) to clear energy and deepen your connection to breath and body.
-
Gentle & Restorative Yoga with Live Music led by Alexis — grounding movement and supported stillness to reset the nervous system and open the body accompanied by Crystal Bright’s soothing live soundscapes.
-
Live Sound Healing with musician Crystal Bright — bathe in healing vibrations while resting fully, with music using a combination of instruments, such as a frame drum, kalimba, crystal singing bowls, piano, accordion, and more.
-
Intuitive Journaling or Creative Reflection — access your quiet inner voice through intuitive writing, creative exploration, or simply pausing with presence.
-
Closing Circle — a chance to gather together and close with intention, in safe space of witnessing and sharing, where each woman is honored without judgment or advice. Sharing is welcome but never required—come just as you are.
Each circle is inspired by a chakra theme (from Root to Crown) — grounding, creativity, empowerment, compassion, truth, intuition, transcendence, and integration — creating a complete journey of balance and renewal.
Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this circle welcomes you exactly as you are. No prior experience needed.
Bring: A yoga mat, journal, pen, and any items that help you feel cozy or grounded (blanket, eye pillow, etc.)
This circle is for women seeking:
-
Heartfelt connection and community
-
Rest from the constant doing
-
A reset for the nervous system
-
A deeper relationship with intuition
-
A reminder that they are not alone
No experience with yoga, sound healing, or journaling is necessary. Simply come as you are, ready to soften into presence, connect, and be held in the company of others.
We can’t wait to welcome you into this sacred space.
Our next foundational 200-hour yoga teacher training begins in January 2026! Come chat with lead teachers Amy Boerner and Alexis Besosa in this free information session.
Amy and Alexis will talk about what they wish they had known before starting their first YTT, what goes on in the classroom, and next steps after the program. You’ll also get to talk with other prospective trainees.
Led by Antonia Beh, who
brings decades of experience as a dancer, choreographer, and
educator in the Triangle, this class offers a thoughtful and
accessible approach to movement that welcomes dancers of all
backgrounds.
Rooted in creative dance, this class offers an inviting approach to
exploring modern dance techniques. Whether you’re brand new to
dance or returning after time away, you’ll be guided into movement
with curiosity, playfulness, and support.
We’ll build expressive dance phrases from fundamental movement
principles—breath, flow, suspension, and release—starting with
simple standing exercises to ground awareness in the body. From
there, we’ll gradually expand into more dynamic movement patterns,
traveling through space and exploring rhythm, momentum, and
connection to the room around you.
Along the way, you’ll be encouraged to listen inward, make choices
that feel authentic, and discover your own unique movement
language. The class weaves together structure and freedom, offering
both clear guidance and space for personal expression.
Open to all levels of movers, this is a joyful opportunity to
awaken creativity, build confidence, and reconnect with your body
in motion. Come as you are—ready to explore, move, and release your
inner dancer.
