Intro to Ballet: Grace and Flow
Jan 4, 2026 - Feb 8, 2026

Intro to Ballet Series for Adults

Our Intro to Ballet Series offers three distinct 6-week courses designed to build a strong foundation in ballet technique. Each course explores the fundamentals — including basic foot and arm positions, posture, alignment, terminology, and coordination — through work at the barre and in the centre.

While each course has its own unique theme, together they provide a well-rounded introduction to ballet pedagogy. Dancers may take the courses in any order; they are not sequential.

Intro to Ballet: Grace and Flow

  • Theme: Grace, body lines, and fluid upper-body movement

  • Focus: Port de bras, adagio sequences, posture, alignment, basic foot positions, pliés, tendus, and barre/centre work

  • Goal of this course: Help beginners move with poise, develop coordination between arms and legs, understand lines of the upper body at a deeper level, how the arm positions frame the movements of the legs and torso, establish linking sequences and a strong technical foundation

Who this course is for:
Perfect for adults who are new to ballet or returning after time away. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to improve posture, coordination, and fluidity of movement while experiencing the grace and artistry of classical ballet in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment.
