Biodanza: The Dance of Life + The Poetry of Human Encounter 3/6
Mar 6, 2026 - Mar 6, 2026

Biodanza: The Dance of Life + The Poetry of Human Encounter

Join us for an evening of movement, music, community, and heartfelt, intentional connection! Our “vivencia” (from the Spanish word “vivir,” meaning “to live”) will include a series of artfully guided dances and encounters designed to evoke core emotion and authentic expression. Together we will move, play, explore, and celebrate our collective aliveness. Come cast off the shackles of inhibition and swirl into the embrace of pure, unfiltered existence!

What is Biodanza?

The word “Biodanza” literally translates, from Spanish, to mean “The Dance of Life.” Founded in the 1960s by Chilean anthropologist and psychologist Rolando Toro, it is an elegant system of somatic and relational self-development that combines dance, music, archetypal gestures, and intentional connection to stimulate five lines of life force: vitality, sexuality, creativity, affectivity, and transcendence. It fosters reconnection with our vital instincts, our emotions, our bodies, and our in-the-flesh relationship with each other as dynamic, feeling human beings. Sometimes referred to as “The Poetry of Human Encounter,” it is truly a Masterclass in embodied Love!

About the facilitator:

Ashley King, M.S.Ed., Ed.M., LPC is a somatic psychotherapist who has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups in private practice for the last 16 years. She is trained in the Hakomi Method (a method of mindful, somatic therapy) and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy). In addition, she is a Circling facilitator (an interpersonal meditation practice), a sex and relationship coach, a meditation instructor, an intuitive energy healer and Reiki Master, a yoga teacher, and a Biodanza facilitator. Once hailed, “A catalytic invitation into vulnerability and connection,” Ashley is deeply passionate about the poetics of embodied relationship. Sufi Song Circle
Mar 8, 2026 - Mar 8, 2026

Circle of Hearts — A Sufi Song Circle

Circle of Hearts is a Sufi song circle — a gathering of music, prayer, rhythm, and reflection where people come together to sing, listen, and connect in a simple, heartfelt way.

You don’t need to be Sufi, religious, or a singer to come. All beliefs, backgrounds, and levels of experience are welcome. You can sing, hum, drum, sit quietly, or just take it all in.

Rooted in the Sufi lineage and guided by Emelyn & supported by Antwan Penn & Osama Janakat, this circle weaves together sacred chants, live rhythm, breath, and moments of quiet to create space for reflection, connection, and community.

This is not a performance, it’s something we create together in the room.

What is Zikr?

Zikr (sometimes spelled dhikr) is a traditional Sufi chanting practice that involves repeating simple sacred phrases or names of the Divine, often with rhythm or melody. It’s less about singing “well” and more about dropping into the repetition, the sound, and the feeling it creates in the body and heart.

What to Expect

• Opening prayer, land acknowledgment, and gentle arrival
• Breath and simple grounding practices
• Guided zikr (chanting) with drum and live music
• Songs and prayers from different traditions
• Quiet moments to sit and reflect
• Closing prayers for peace and unity
• Tea and time to land before heading out

Who This Is For

Anyone curious about sacred music, chanting, or simply wanting a calm space to be with others. Come as you are.

About The Assembly of Lovers

The Assembly of Lovers is an interspiritual devotional gathering centered around chant, rhythm, and listening together. Through shared voice and repetition, the circle becomes a place to slow down, reflect, and remember what matters.

JUST DANCE!
Mar 29, 2026 - Mar 29, 2026

No lineup or DJ. No production. No performance.

This is a space to come back to the most natural thing we know how to do…move.

We call this Just Dance because that’s really the invitation…
to let your body lead, to listen, to shake off the week, and to remember that movement itself is medicine.

We start slow- giving you enough time to warm up your body. building up into a high-energy wave, and settling back down into stillness with savasana. The music may be a curated playlist, a favorite DJ set, or something we build together. There’s no facilitator guiding you. Your body is the guide.

Move how you want…Shake. Stretch. Close your eyes. Sweat. Pray…Just Dance would ya!!

We’re keeping the container intentionally small for these.

At the end, we’ll gather for a juicy fruit share to connect and land together before heading back out into the world.

IF you’re craving a space to get out of your head, back into your body, and remember how damn good it feels to JUST DANCE, you’ll feel at home here!

Held by Jacob Patrick Ellis.

**SoulFlow Yoga with Jacob at 9:30am is the perfect warm up- Anyone with a dance ticket can join class for just $10! Use Code JUSTDANCE when registering :)**
