Join us for a special slow flow dance journey accompanied by an all original LIVE electronic and acoustic dance set with Matthew Beck and Krystina Vázquez!
The artists will be weaving live instrumentation including original downtempo house beats with layered guitars, angelic looped vocals, world percussion, spoken word guidance, flutes, and bass. The music & pace is intentionally slow and spacious so you can sink deep into the sensations of your body and actually feel every rhythm, tone, vibration and let it move you.
The slower tempo opens the door for guided contact improv, subtle partner connection, and group movement, but you can also stay completely in your own world if that’s what feels right. Whether you choose to dance in your own journey or interact with others, we will be attuning to our center and authentic desires, body sensations, and intentions, continually returning to our center through this dance as a guidepost.
You can expect chapters of slowness, inwardness, and
silly play, along with those of uptempo house music and faster
waves energy riding on deep sub-bass rhythms at the peak of the
experience. Its the perfect blend of acoustic and electronic
flavors!
Note: This event includes a cup of ceremonial cacao or
loose leaf rose tea. Matt and Krystina have been producing this
100% original dance set for an entire year, and the journey is
here!

Facilitator Bios:
Matthew recently spent 2.5 years living in Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Mexico, where live-music contact improv, ritual, and ecstatic dances were weekly containers — a practice that set his heart on fire and that he's been longing to bring to this area for a long time. He comes from a background of teaching yoga, meditation, and intuitive healing, along with playing in bands and performing as a guitarist, bassist, and sound healing artist. His intention is to weave the formless into form through dance, vibration, cathartic release, eros, and deepening awareness.
Krystina is a classically trained vocalist and live-looping sound healing artist. She weaves a meditative journey of somatic healing and self-discovery drawing from a deep connection to music as medicine — guiding listeners into a space of healing at their core. Her sound integrates soothing vocals with vibrations from crystal bowls, vocal harmony and percussive instruments.
IF you’re craving a space to get out of your head, back into your body, and remember how damn good it feels to JUST DANCE, you’ll feel at home here!
We call this “Just Dance” because that’s really the
invitation…
to let your body lead, to listen, to shake off the week, and to
remember that movement itself is medicine. There's No big lineup or
DJ. No fancy production. No performance.
We start slow- giving you enough time to warm up your body. building up into a high-energy wave, and settling back down into stillness with savasana. The music may be a curated playlist, a favorite DJ set, or something we build together. There’s no facilitator guiding you. Your body is the guide. This is a space to come back to the most natural thing we know how to do…MOVE!
Move how you want…Shake. Stretch. Close your eyes. Sweat. Pray…Just Dance would ya!
We’re keeping the container intentionally small for these! At the end, we’ll gather for a juicy fruit share to connect and land together before heading back out into the world.
Held by Jacob Patrick Ellis.
**SoulFlow Yoga with Jacob at 9:30am is the perfect warm up- Anyone with a dance ticket can join class for just $10! Use Code “JUSTDANCE” when registering :)**
The Deep End is a monthly experiential workshop for people who are ready to go beyond the surface. Drawing on practices from authentic relating, somatic awareness, Gestalt, and conscious touch, this experience weaves together verbal, movement-based, and body-to-body practices to help you meet yourself and others with vulnerability, depth and presence.
This is not a lecture or a training. It's a living laboratory where real things happen between real people.
What to Expect
Each workshop is unique, but you can expect a curated arc of practices that may include:
Verbal connection practices: relational games and exercises that invite honesty, presence, and curiosity. You'll practice speaking from what's actually alive in you, and receiving others with full attention.
Movement-based practices: guided somatic and improvisational movement that helps you arrive in your body, shake off the social armor, and relate from a more grounded, embodied place.
Conscious touch practices: simple, clearly boundaried touch-based exercises (such as hand-to-hand contact, back-to-back sitting, or gentle partner work) designed to build relational attunement and nervous system co-regulation. All touch is consensual, discussed in advance, and fully optional.
The session moves at a pace that honors both depth and safety. You'll be gently stretched, not pushed. There will be moments of laughter, stillness, discomfort, and warmth. That's the work.
Who This Is For
This workshop is designed for people who have a genuine hunger for depth and a willingness to be vulnerable.
Most of us were never taught how to truly connect. We learned to be polite, agreeable, or interesting, but not necessarily present, honest, or met.
Authentic Relating is one well-known branch of this field, a set of principles and practices that help people drop defensiveness, speak truthfully, and receive others without judgment. What we do in The Deep End goes further, drawing on body-based modalities and Gestalt principles to engage not just the mind and words, but sensation, movement, and touch as pathways into real contact.
If any part of you has longed to be truly seen, to stop performing, or to feel genuinely close to another human being, you're in the right place.
Kirtan & Kitchari
3:30-5:30 PM
Low production. Low key. High
Bhakti vibes. All are Welcome!
This event is donation-based ($10 suggested) and 100%
of proceeds will
go to The People’s Kitchen, a Philadelphia nonprofit using
food to empower, transform, and heal through free nutritious meals,
gardening, and education. You can learn more about them here >

We’ll start the evening droping into a Kirtan, led by Ellis Kantrowitz and friends. Kirtan is a call-and-response style chanting practice — simple melodies, sacred mantras, and communal singing. You don’t need to be a “singer.” You can chant, hum, sway, dance, play along, or just lie down and listen. It’s about participation, presence, and shared energy — not performance.
Afterwards we'll gather around for a warm bowl of Kitchari, lovingly prepared by Chef Matt Buddha. Kitchari is a simple, nourishing Ayurvedic dish made from rice, lentils, and gentle spices — easy to digest, grounding, and deeply comforting. We’ll eat, connect, and settle in together until about 5:30pm. Not hungry? No worries...just hang
We want these Kirtans to be community-led and community-powered — a space where we gather, uplift each other, and give back.
If you can’t donate $10, no stress. Come anyway.
Feel free to bring instruments and join in.
Please pre-register ASAP so Chef knows how much food to prepare for us :)
Come for a little. Stay for the whole
journey.
Let’s sing. Let’s nourish. Let’s give back together.
Biodanza: The Dance of Life + The Poetry of Human Encounter
Join us for an evening of movement, music, community, and heartfelt, intentional connection! Our “vivencia” (from the Spanish word “vivir,” meaning “to live”) will include a series of artfully guided dances and encounters designed to evoke core emotion and authentic expression. Together we will move, play, explore, and celebrate our collective aliveness. Come cast off the shackles of inhibition and swirl into the embrace of pure, unfiltered existence!
What is Biodanza?
The word “Biodanza” literally translates, from Spanish, to mean “The Dance of Life.” Founded in the 1960s by Chilean anthropologist and psychologist Rolando Toro, it is an elegant system of somatic and relational self-development that combines dance, music, archetypal gestures, and intentional connection to stimulate five lines of life force: vitality, sexuality, creativity, affectivity, and transcendence. It fosters reconnection with our vital instincts, our emotions, our bodies, and our in-the-flesh relationship with each other as dynamic, feeling human beings. Sometimes referred to as “The Poetry of Human Encounter,” it is truly a Masterclass in embodied Love!
About the facilitator:
Ashley King, M.S.Ed., Ed.M., LPC is a somatic psychotherapist who has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups in private practice for the last 16 years. She is trained in the Hakomi Method (a method of mindful, somatic therapy) and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy). In addition, she is a Circling facilitator (an interpersonal meditation practice), a sex and relationship coach, a meditation instructor, an intuitive energy healer and Reiki Master, a yoga teacher, and a Biodanza facilitator. Once hailed, “A catalytic invitation into vulnerability and connection,” Ashley is deeply passionate about the poetics of embodied relationship.
