A 6-week introduction to the practice of yoga.
All students attending will be beginners. Start from the beginning and work your way to the more compex poses. Focus is on proper alignment, preventing injury, increasing flexibility, strength and stamina and starting to understand the mind/body connection, Must be able to get up and down from the floor. Common conditions like back ache, shoulder stiffness, knee pain and stiff bodies are welcome!
This is not a gentle yoga class (Please book Gentler Yoga).

We are a small community studio and all sales are final. We will not issue refunds or transfers.
Are you a oxalate stone former? Do you struggle with recurring instances of kidney stones? This painful condition can be managed with diet and exercise.
Join Brenda Kayne and or this excellent program to address ways we can reduce stones and how to reduce their frequency.
Lisa Waas will present the movement portion of the workshop. Please be dressed in comfortable clothing and be prepared to move a little. We will be sitting for the movement portion.
Join us for a journey inward. Enjoy the soothing sounds of crystal bowls played over a carefully selected and soothing playlist. You will be guided through a short meditation and then into the world of Yin Yoga. We will hold the poses for 5-7 minutes with lots of props to support the body.
This is an in-studio workshop.
There are many props that are used ion Iyengar Yoga. Some add additional support, some allow the student to take the shape of the pose, some make the pose harder!
In this interactive and personal workshop, there will be over 30 prop set ups organized in the studio. You will be allowed to move freely from one to another with your own desired timings. Stay longer at one set up and skip another if it does not interest you. It is completely your choice. Each set-up will have a description of the intended use. This is for all levels.
We will finish at 2 hours.
