YOUTH CONTEMPORARY Mondays at 6 -7 pm
This class is a requirement for those in Competition Company. This class is open to all level 1/2 students.
Session Dates: January 12th - May 11th
No class dates: March 22nd - March 28th (Spring break)
Registration required, repeatable. One class per week.
Costume fee NOT included in registration price. Costume price will range between 45.00-80.00. We will choose the lower price when possible. The Fee will be applied the first week of February

The week of classes after our recital will be a spirit week to celebrate our students hard work throughout the session!
Class description: This contemporary class will focus on learning Graham technique. The Graham Technique is a modern dance method created by Martha Graham, focusing on contraction and release, spirals, grounded movement, and the connection between breath and movement. It's a codified technique, meaning it has a structured curriculum with specific exercises.
*This class must be taken with at least one other class at Dovetail*
DRESS CODE: black leotard or shirt, black tights or leggings and bare feet. Hair pulled away from face
TARDY POLICY: If you are more than 5 minutes late to class, without giving the instructor advance notice you will be tardy, you will not be allowed into class that day.

Ages 8-12) Modern originated in revolt of ballet and has transformed the dance world. Sometimes called contemporary, modern has an expressive and free feel while also being based in technique. Dancers explore rhythm, floor work and traveling through the space. This class is great for the rebel, the wild at heart, the explorer.

YOUTH CONTEMPORARY/ BALLET COMBO Thursdays at 6 - 7pm
