Restorative yoga is intended to take the mindfulness that is found in all disciplines of yoga to the next level. Still and slow, it emphasizes mind as much as body. This gentle centering of breath and body – aligning the physical and mental by practicing stillness for extended periods of time – will allow you to experience peace, serenity and restfulness.
In restorative yoga, props are used to support the body so that you can hold poses longer, allowing your body to open through passive stretching. Restorative classes are restful and complement active practices very well. This relaxing style will leave you feeling open and refreshed. With lights dimmed, the instructor may utilize color therapy, essential oils or sound therapy to enhance your restorative practice, allowing for more productive rest and better sleep.

This 4-week series of 60-minute classes gives those who have learned the basics in our Intro to Aerial Yoga 4-week class series (pre-requisite) an opportunity to develop strength and flexibility in a fun way. The aerial yoga swing is a great tool for suspension training! Build confidence, master the poses, and have fun with Fit to Fly classes!
Students will:
- Get a full body workout
- Experience creative and stimulating classes for both mind and body
- Gain strength and flexibility needed to advance to higher levels of aerial yoga
