Yoga Essentials Series: Alignment & Adaptation

Join Deborah Carruthers for a four-session series designed to help you build a strong, safe foundation in classical yoga postures.

This small-group workshop (min 3, max 5 participants) offers a supportive space to refine your embodiment of the postures commonly taught in our daily classes. Each week, we’ll move step-by-step through familiar poses, exploring alignment, proper technique, and practical adaptations to suit your unique body—at any stage of life or level of mobility.

Offering #1: NOW FULL 3 Consecutive Sundays — Nov 23, 30 & Dec 7 | Noon – 1:15 PM

Offering #2: 3 Consecutive Saturdays — Dec 6, 13 & 20 | Noon – 1:15 PM

In the first two sessions, Charlotte and Susan will guide you step-by-step through the key movements, postures, and principles that form the foundation of most yoga classes. You’ll learn posture names, how to align safely and effectively for your body, and build the confidence to attend any of our Level 1 or Level 1–2 classes with ease.

Our final session is a special practice exclusively for our Yoga Starters — a 1-hour Level 1 class followed by a short Q&A with your teachers.

You’ll also receive a printed reference guide and video overview to support your practice and continued learning.

And that’s not all! To encourage you to attend your first public class, you’ll receive one free class pass to use after completing the series.

Coming Home to Presence is a 4-week journey designed to help you reconnect with yourself, nurture your whole health, and cultivate lasting joy in daily life. Together in an intimate group of no more than 10 participants, we’ll gather for 2-hour weekly sessions that weave together:

  • Living in Your Body – guided practices to anchor awareness and ease into embodied presence
  • Meditation & Mindful Movement – gentle ways to quiet the mind and energize the body
  • Teaching & Discussion – supportive conversation and insights for everyday integration
