
This 20
hour immersion training (18 contact hours) is designed for anyone
interested in a deeper understanding of the techniques and
methodology of restorative yoga, from yoga teachers wishing to
master the art of restorative classes to the casual practitioner
wishing to design a home practice for personal health maintenance.
The weekend covers the gentle, calming therapeutic style of
practice that restores the nervous system. This training covers a
broad range of healing techniques and modalities that can be
incorporated into restorative classes, beginning with how to
strategically arrange props and sequence the practice to promote an
optimum state of renewal and relaxation, and including specialty
healing systems to enhance the experience. YA continuing education
credits (20) and a certificate of completion is provided at the end
of the course.
A curriculum of 18 hours includes:
- Theory and Science of restorative yoga
- Hands on Assists
- Props and poses for restorative yoga
- Breathwork and guided imagery
- Yoga Nidra
- Acupressure yoga and trigger points
- Essential Oils for healing
- Gong and sound therapy for relaxing nervous system
- Restorative Sequencing & class pacing
- Anatomy of the nervous system
- Required Reading: Relax and Renew by Judith Lasater(please bring to class)

Ashtanga Vinyasa is a very dynamic and athletic form of yoga.Students follow a set sequence of postures each time, gradually progressing through the series. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga emphasises the linking of movement and breath. This class will be for students looking to begin an ashtanga yoga practice. In this class we will move through half of the primary seires poses.

Join us for a magical monthly moon practice to set intentions and release the old.
Enjoy a beautiful Moon centered Yoga Class and walk the grounds of Heartwood under the light of the Full Moon.

This 6 hour workshop experience will explore the Circles of life, the connection of all things and the return to oneness that is found all around us in the shape of the circle. This creative workshop includes:
-- A beginning with a circular community mandala yoga class (all levels)
-- Information of the history of sacred geometry and the significance of the circle
-- Light vegetarian lunch provided
-- An art workshop with instructions for how to map out and correctly draw a meditative mandala on paper
-- A booklet of journaling prompts for during and after the session that help us dive deeper into the interconnectivity of the circles of life
-- Time to explore and enjoy the beautiful retreat center at Heartwood, including the chakra garden, labryinth and wishing tree

Slow down and create space with this peaceful practice with flowing poses and movements that stem from purposeful attention to the breath. These fluid movements increase flexibility and strength as it calms the mind and body. This 5-week session is great for those new to yoga and those looking for a more relaxing practice.
