This 7-class series explores movement as a deeply embodied sensory experience.
Emily guides participants to expand body awareness by focusing on one sense at a time. We gently shift out of the thinking mind and into full physical presence.
Each session builds upon the last, culminating in a deeply sensual, fully embodied movement experience. The skills you develop throughout this series will support you in becoming a more attuned, responsive, and expressive dancer.
1. Touch: Tactile Sensation
Focus: Skin, pressure, floor connection, textures
This class centers on the sense of touch - our connection to the floor, our skin, and the textures we create through movement. Expect slow, sensual exploration of pressure, weight, and physical sensation.
2. Sight: Visual Awareness
Focus: Lines, shapes, pathways, and how movement looks
and is perceived
This class explores the sense of sight - how we create lines,
shapes, and visual storytelling through movement. We’ll play with
angles, levels, and pathways, bringing awareness to both how we see
ourselves and how we are seen. Through the use of mirrors, softened
gaze, and closed eyes, we’ll also turn vision inward.
3. Sound: Listening, Hearing, & Musicality
Focus: Music, rhythm, internal sound, breath
This class dives into the sense of sound - tuning into music, rhythm, and the subtle sounds of your own movement and breath. We’ll explore how auditory cues shape timing, flow, and expression, while learning to deeply listen to the body’s internal rhythms and cues.
4. Scent: Memory & Emotion
Focus: Emotional response, memory, subtle sensory triggers
This class explores the sense of smell as a gateway to memory and emotion. Through guided imagery and atmosphere, we’ll tap into feeling states that influence movement quality and expression.
5. Taste: Indulgence & Desire
Focus: Pleasure, indulgence, richness in movement
This class is inspired by the sense of taste - indulgence, pleasure, and richness. We’ll explore decadent, slow, and satisfying movement qualities that feel deeply nourishing and expressive. We will explore what feels pleasurable and yummy in your body.
6. Intuition; Inner Knowing
Focus: Inner guidance, instinctive movement
This class connects you to your intuitive sense, moving beyond thought and into instinct. You’ll be guided to trust your impulses and allow your body to lead, cultivating freedom, authenticity, and uninhibited expression.
7. Integration: Becoming Liquid
Focus: Full sensory embodiment
In this final session, all senses merge into a cohesive experience.
You’ll move fluidly between internal and external awareness,
responding simultaneously to touch, sound, sight, and sensation.
The result is a deeply embodied, adaptive flow state - effortless,
continuous, and fully expressive.
