Become Xpose Fitness Certified!
Xpose has created a program to encourage all Xpose Divas to become more well-rounded. It's like the black belt system in Martial Arts; you will climb up the ranks, in order, with the goal of earning your black garter!
Blue Garter is the Flow&Floorwork Xpose Fitness Certification Level. All applicants are expected to have taken several Floor/Chair classes to be familiar with the vocabulary and able to perform the most commonly taught basic Floor/Chair moves. The certification consists of two separate parts:
1. Compulsory Moves – Comprised of a list of movements commonly taught in Flow&Floorwork classes. Applicant must be aware of vocabulary characteristic of this level and be able to demonstrate the list of movements without instructor explanation and be able to properly perform each move.
2.
Routine – Your instructor will teach you a
choreographed routine incorporating several or all of
Flow&Floorwork Moves. This routine may include combinations of
the moves as well as other dance moves and floor work that are used
in pole and/or Floor/Chair classes. The instruction will be
fast-paced, but you will repeat the routine during instruction to
get the feel for the flow.
In small groups, you will perform the routine start to finish while
an Instructor assesses your performance. You will be expected to
smoothly transition between the moves you’ve learned and perform
each move with proper form. The routine will be demonstrated and
called out by the same Instructor who taught the routine – you are
not being tested on memorization. Good form in the moves and fluid
performance will be important to your assessment.
Should you not pass a level, have no fear! You will receive 3 free classes to polish up those moves, so you can come back and try again!
Once you earn your black garter you will also receive a Certificate of Completion and a custom Xpose Fitness Order of the Garter Hoodie with your name on it.
