As always, you are in complete control of your experience. You’ll be offered tools to regulate your nervous system, and you are encouraged to honor your own capacity and boundaries. This practice may bring up big emotions, strong sensations, and meaningful clarity. Please be prepared to meet whatever arises with compassion and curiosity.
Participants should be in good physical and mental health. Those with cardiovascular concerns, severe hypertension, epilepsy, or certain psychiatric conditions are encouraged to consult a healthcare provider before joining.
Please bring a pen, a journal, and your lovely self. I can’t wait to breathe with you!
Through a thorough discussion of the joints of the lower spine, hips, knees, and ankles, as well as a full discussion of ligaments and myofascia, in addition to active demonstration and practice sessions, we will learn the difference between Yin and vinyasa, or “yang” yoga. Students will learn how Yin yoga “works” within the body energetically, and how to, and, more importantly, NOT to, physically assist students in this type of practice.
