Workshop 1: The RYT of Anatomy & Embodiment
Saturday, September 13th at 10:00 AM
This workshop goes beyond traditional anatomical studies, inviting yoga teachers to truly embody their understanding of the human form within the context of their Registered Yoga Teacher training. Through a blend of practical application and a focus on RYT standards, you'll delve into the intricate relationship between skeletal structure, muscular function, and energetic pathways.
Adarsh will guide you through exercises that foster a deeper kinesthetic awareness, directly applicable to your role as an RYT. You'll explore how a strong anatomical understanding informs intelligent sequencing, hands-on adjustments (within RYT guidelines), and effective cueing in your yoga classes.
What to Bring: Notebook, pen, and comfortable clothing for movement.
Workshop 2: Teacher Training: Hands-On Assists
Sunday, September 14th at 10:00 AM
Refine your tactile cueing skills in this comprehensive, all-levels training on safe and effective hands-on adjustments. This workshop is ideal for yoga and movement teachers looking to enhance their ability to guide students through physical assists.
Adarsh will share his extensive knowledge and practical techniques for offering adjustments that are both supportive and empowering. You'll learn how to approach different body types, understand energetic considerations in touch, and develop an intuitive sense of when and how to apply appropriate pressure. This session will significantly elevate your confidence and precision in assisting your students.
What to Bring: Notebook, pen, and comfortable clothing for movement. Be prepared to practice both giving and receiving assists.
Location & Registration
Both workshops will begin promptly at 10:00 AM at Karuna Yoga Studio, Pleasanton.
