A one-day retreat for understanding and transforming stress.
Take time for yourself and join us for a restorative day at a peaceful Buddhist healing center, where yoga, science and meditation come together to help you understand the patterns of stress — and discover practical tools to meet them with clarity and calm.
Throughout the day we will explore how stress forms in the mind and body, how thought patterns shape our experience, and how simple practices from yoga and mindfulness can help us shift our relationship with them.
The day includes
• Morning Iyengar yoga
practice led by Ramanand Patel, Iyengar Institute of San
Francisco, Student of B.K.S Iyengar
• Interactive workshop on stress and the
mind
• Tools for reframing thoughts using yogic
philosophy
• Silent walking meditation through the
redwoods
• Guided journalling for reflection
• Nāda Yoga session using sound and vibration as a
pathway to calm the mind, release stress, and settle into a state
of deep ease and balance
• Nourishing vegetarian lunch and the
gift of our special KARUNA Journal and Pen
In addition to enjoying a wonderful break for the day in the majestic Redwoods, you will leave with a calmer nervous system, a new understanding of how stress works and practical tools to use daily to create a calmer, more resilient mind.
Gaayatri Kaundinya will be leading us through a musical meditation with a Nada Yoga session. She is a vocalist and Nada Yoga practitioner whose work explores the intersection of sound, stillness, and inner awareness. Drawing from her 30 years of sadhana and training in Indian classical music and devotional traditions, she creates immersive experiences that guide participants into deeper states of listening and connection.
Her offerings blend voice, raaga, and meditation in a grounded and
accessible way, inviting individuals of all backgrounds into the
practice of sound as a pathway to presence and healing.
Nada Yoga Experience with Gaayatri
Step into a space of deep listening and inner stillness through the
power of vibration.
Rooted in the ancient principle of Nada Brahma, the understanding
that sound is the essence of all existence, Nada Yoga uses sound as
a tool for inner exploration, through voice, melody, and
resonance.
Through guided Om meditation, raaga-based sound exploration, and bhajan and kirtan, you'll be gently led into a meditative state that supports relaxation, emotional release, and a deeper sense of self.
No experience needed. Just an openness to listen.
This session will take place at Land of Medicine Buddha, 5800 Prescott Rd, Soquel, CA 95073
