Inversions change your perspective — not just physically, but mentally.
When we turn things upside down, we’re asked to trust ourselves. To breathe in unfamiliar territory. To stay steady when things feel uncertain. That’s the real practice.
This workshop isn’t about achieving a perfect headstand. It’s about understanding how to support yourself so that if you choose to go upside down, you feel grounded, not rushed. Strong, not pressured.
You’ll explore accessible pathways toward inversions, build confidence step by step, and learn how to listen to your body’s cues. There will be options at every stage — including staying right where your feet are.
If you’ve ever felt intimidated by inversions, unsure where to begin, or curious about experiencing them in a more supported way, this class is for you.
Come shift your
perspective.
Come build trust in your body.
Come discover what feels possible — on your terms.
Play with Gravity: Arm Balance Lab
Description:
Think of this as your space to experiment. Using a brick for
feedback and support, we’ll explore arm balances in a way that’s
less about “getting it right” and more about discovering what’s
possible.
We’ll break down the mechanics behind lift—how to shift weight, engage the right muscles, and create stability from the ground up. The brick becomes a tool to help you feel what’s happening in your body, offering both support and a little extra challenge when you’re ready.
What to expect:
A mix of strength-building drills, skill breakdowns, and playful
exploration. We’ll work with foundational arm balances (like crow
and side crow) and explore variations and transitions in an
approachable, step-by-step way. There will be plenty of options to
meet you where you are.
Who it’s for:
This workshop is for anyone who’s curious about arm balances and
ready to explore—whether you’re just starting to play with getting
your feet off the ground or looking to feel more steady and
connected in shapes you’ve already tried.
Come as you are, bring your curiosity, and be ready to play.
Many of us live with a quiet, constant holding—through the neck, across the collarbones, behind the heart. Over time, this effort becomes so familiar we forget what ease feels like.
This workshop is an invitation to soften that holding.
Through slow, mindful movement and guided awareness, we’ll explore how the shoulders can be both supported and free. You’ll begin to feel the relationship between breath, rib cage, and shoulder blades—allowing tension to unwind not by force, but through understanding.
We’ll gently open the front body, broaden the back, and restore a sense of space across the chest and upper spine. Along the way, you may rediscover how much effort is truly needed—and how much can be released.
What to Expect
-
Slow, accessible movement (nothing rushed or forceful)
-
Guided awareness to help you notice and release unconscious tension
-
Exploration of breath and its connection to the shoulders and rib cage
-
Gentle opening through the chest, collarbones, and upper back
-
A supportive environment to move at your own pace
This Is For You If
-
Your shoulders often feel tight, heavy, or overworked
-
You notice tension in your neck, jaw, or upper back
-
You spend a lot of time sitting, driving, or on devices
-
You’re craving ease without needing to “push” or stretch harder
-
You’re curious about moving with more awareness and less effort
Yoga Sutra Immersion: A Day of Study +
Integration
A Two-Part, All-Day Workshop
There’s a depth to yoga that lives beneath the shapes.
A thread that connects breath, mind, and the way we move through
the world.
The Yoga Sutras offer us that thread.
This full-day immersion is an invitation to slow down, listen closely, and explore these teachings in a way that feels grounded, relevant, and deeply human.
Part One:
Entering the Sutras
An open and accessible introduction for anyone curious about the
roots of yoga.
Together, we’ll explore:
- What the Yoga Sutras are—and why they still matter
- How these teachings show up in everyday life
- Simple ways to begin integrating them into your personal practice
- Reflection and conversation to make the material feel real and relatable
No prior study needed—just a willingness to be curious.
Part Two:
Weaving the Teachings
A shift from understanding into application.
This portion is open to all, and especially supportive for those holding space for others.
We’ll explore:
- How to thoughtfully thread the sutras into a group class
- Using language, themes, and intention to create depth without overwhelm
- The role of philosophy in building connection and community
- Why these teachings matter in a modern classroom
This is about making the wisdom of yoga feel lived-in—not performative.
