Becoming a parent can add an immense amount of stress, pressure, and sleep deprivation. Breathwork is something that cannot be described; it can only truly be experienced. The word itself is an umbrella term to describe various forms of breathing practices.
This particular breath pattern is called “continuous conscious breathing” or circular breath. There is no pause at the end of each exhale. You simply breathe in a circular way in and out, in and out. From personal experience and witnessing her many students, Jolene can attest that Breathwork is an amazing tool for releasing physical, emotional and mental tension from your body. This type of transformational breath takes effort, and its effects can be immediate and lasting!
The session is done lying down, on your back in a comfortable position, while music is playing to help evoke, relax and release anything that’s stuck. Jolene will guide you through the process to motivate you.
In this type of “Breathwork” we actually try to take in as much oxygen as we can. We Achieve this by breathing in and out of the mouth with no gaps between the breaths (it kind of sounds like hyperventilation- but it’s not!)
After the active breathing portion of the session, Jolene leads a beautiful grounding heart opening mediation, with time for integration.
It’s very powerful and can be profound. And know this, it is safe to breath and you are always in control of your breath.
