figurehead/hood ornament, inverted ballerina/figure 4,

Description: In this spin pole workshop, we’ll
cover some of Asia’s favorite transitions. There will be an
emphasis on slowed, controlled movement and we’ll illuminate how
small, intentional choices can completely transform/enhance
transition dynamics. Students will then have the opportunity to
apply the concepts from the workshop to their freestyle
movement.

Level: Upper Beginner/intermediate (Pole 1.5 +)
Pre-requisites: Pole sit, figurehead/hood ornament, jasmine
Description: In this spin/static pole workshop, we begin with an
extensive warm-up, emphasizing hip and shoulder openers, as well as
active hamstring stretches. We’ll then break down Asia’s favorite
splits, discussing proper muscle engagement to maximize our lines.
Students will then have the opportunity to incorporate these splits
into their own movement.
