Fit Bellies (5 week)

The Fit Bellies program was developed to prepare the expectant woman for pregnancy, childbirth and new parenthood both physically and emotionally. Each weekly 90-minute class incorporates cardiovascular and muscular conditioning to strengthen key areas affected by physiological changes through pregnancy; essential stretches to reduce common pregnancy discomforts; a relaxation component in preparation for a calm and peaceful birth and a half-hour discussion and presentation conducted by the instructor and guest speakers on topics relevant to pregnancy, childbirth and new parenthood.

Yoga for Birth

In this class we will gently stretch and safely strengthen the body in preparation for the journey of birth. Taking into consideration prenatal modifications for pelvic floor, joint and heart health we'll use yoga poses and breathing techniques to address common prenatal misalignments and imbalances. Classes will include a combination of flows and longer holds for building functional strength and endurance, releasing tension and staying connected with your ever changing body. Variations will be offered throughout making this class accessible for all stages of pregnancy. We'll end with a relaxation period and time to connect with your baby.
