Led by Barbara Satterfield, you'll experience a dynamic asana practice fused with primal movement, beat-driven dancing and deep core engagement. We'll cap the workshop with a champagne toast to celebrate the energy and connection created during class!
An intro to basic aerial yoga inversions & a variety of standing stretches utilizing the hammock. We’ll cover modifications & tips to combat any dizziness that may occur. The workshop will conclude w/ savasana in the hammock.
Although inversion exercises are beneficial for perfectly
healthy people, they are not recommended for people with any of the
following conditions or ailments:
• High blood pressure/ Low Blood Pressure
• Serious spinal or neck injuries
• Glaucoma
• Pregnancy
• Heart conditions of any kind
• Epilepsy
*If you have one of these conditions, we require a doctor's note with permission to practice aerial yoga.
Low Flow-Restorative Aerial is a gentle form of aerial yoga. All poses are done from the ground, utilizing the hammock as our main yoga prop. Other props will be incorporated to access deep levels of stretch and relaxation. This class is perfect for aerial beginners, perhaps nervous about fully inverting…as well as our seasoned practitioners. No prior aerial experience is required. This class will feel like you are giving yourself a big hug.
