About the course:

Developed by Physiotherapist Paul Horvath, who utilized GYROTONIC®

and GYROKINESIS® methods with orthopedic patients at the Rheintalklinik in Bad

Krozingen, Germany cultivating these courses over twenty-five years.

This course is the first in his three-part series of courses. The three courses Paul

created are The Pelvic Girdle / The Shoulder Girdle / Scoliosis, which should be taken

in this sequential order.

In this course, we will cover two important sections: Theory and Practical.

Paul’s Theoretical Concepts will be discussed

• in what he calls the “Biological Unit”, what is health, what is a disease, what is therapy, and the psychosomatic network
• his systematic approach to training using movement as a healing system
• basic anatomy of the pelvic girdle and lumbar spine,
• pathology of the lumbar spine, will also be examined and explored. A selection
• of basic terms and vocabulary will be introduced.

The Practical Aspect of the course you will learn:

• a series of 6 different sequential programs specifically designed for the pelvic girdle / lumbar spine
• programs developed to help individuals overcome certain pathologies, with a focus on lumbar disc herniation.
• a series of building block exercises that you the teacher, can use to guide one’s client out of lumbar pain and into a more fully functioning body.
• an emphasis on cultivating an understanding of what are the intentions of the movements, the why, and the how, clearly explained and discussed by Nancy.
• This course teaches trainers how to apply the Pulley Tower Unit specifically for the Pelvic Girdle and will help you better understand the basic fundamental principles of the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods.

The Specialized Master Trainer

The course is taught by Nancy Lepore, a GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Specialized Master Trainer with a focus on rehabilitation and complete wellness for all. She began studying the pelvic girdle, shoulder girdle, and scoliosis courses in 2003 with Paul in Germany at the RheintalKlinik and immediately and successfully began applying his work in her private practice, now teaching all of Paul’s work with her students.

She has been practicing and sharing her knowledge and wisdom in GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® exercises since 1997. Her work allows her to help elite athletes perform at their highest potential with longevity. She guides people out of physical disorders such as chronic pain and psychological disorders such as anxiety and stress. She educates clients on how to walk again and teaches teachers and practitioners worldwide the art of exercise and beyond.

The course is credited as GYROTONIC® Level 1 Update CEC Teacher Training Course.
