
We take over 20,000 breaths every day - but how does that happen? Do you know how your body moves air in and out? In this presentation, you’ll learn all about the anatomy of breathing - including the importance of the diaphragm, the ribcage, and how we stand. We’ll also discuss the intimate connection between our breath, our nervous system, and our state of mind.
This module was originally developed as part of our Hot Yoga Teacher Training curriculum and is being presented as a standalone workshop for the first time!

Your breath is a powerful tool, and there are so many different ways to breathe! In this workshop, we’ll explore simple everyday breathing techniques that can be used to calm anxiety, relieve stress, and improve focus. This will be an interactive session where we’ll try out different techniques and talk about our experiences. We’ll also share some of the science behind these practices for a deeper understanding.

You’ve heard a million times that you have to BREATHE in hot yoga - but how exactly are you supposed to do that?! In this 2 hour masterclass, we’ll take a deep dive into this topic! The class will take us through all 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises in the Original Hot Yoga series. As we go along, we’ll discuss the most helpful breathing techniques for each exercise. You’ll start to understand how you can manipulate your breath to improve your practice, and you’ll leave with plenty to work on! Bring a notebook and all your breathing questions - this is an interactive Q&A session.
