A FREE weekly class for elementary aged children (ages 6-9) that builds self-confidence and self-esteem through fun dance based exercises. Drawing from a wide range of dance techniques, ConfiDANCE! encourages a child's development of skills like coordination and musicality while building a sense of accomplishment, achievement and self-worth. Let's celebrate our creativity and have some fun in ConfiDANCE!
As with any progressive syllabus, each session builds on the principles of the previous week, therefore attendance to all sessions is recommended.
Parents/Guardians will register for the class under their names and emails, a form will be sent out one week prior to the start of the session to collect information about the student that will participate. email classes@smuinballet.org
This program is held in large part through a gracious grant from SF Rotary Club in partnership with Smuin Center for Dance.
Have a little one that won't stop dancing around? Have them join Ms. Alice in this 10 week PreBallet class! Geared for children ages 3-5, your little dance stars will learn coordination, musicality, collaboration and independence in this fun dance class. Children will learn basic ballet positioning and terminology. We are so excited to be an early part of any child's introduction to dance!

Bethany's class has moved just past Beginner! This class is for those with a working knowledge of simple ballet terminology and coordination and able to keep up with a ballet barre. The class time has been extended to allow for more centre work and a more focused barre. Created to continue dancer's development, this class is for all that have been taking ballet regularly and are ready for a bit more!
