All Inclusive ~ 3 Day School with S.A.F.E.R. Course

Enjoy 3 days of training on the snow with Driven's Team of avalanche, first aid/CPR certified trainers and Ride Rasmussen Style Instructors helping you feel confident in your backcountry snowmobiling adventures.

Day 1
Course starts at 8 a.m. M.T. Spend the 1st day of the School with Altitude Sickness in the 1st of its kind, a S.A.F.E.R. Course.

A Post Avalanche clinic geared for the Backcountry Snowmobiler wanting to learn the basics in first aid and life saving techniques during a traumatic injury.
 
Topics to include a hands on approach to:
1. Trauma assessment and triage.
2. Helmet removal and cervical spine stabilization.
3. Proper 1 and 2 person CPR with the use of respirations.
4. Stop the bleed with use of direct pressure, hemostatic agents and tourniquets.
5. Proper MAYDAY radio communication and use of technology to alert first responders to location.
6. Packaging victim for transport and avoiding hypothermia.
7. Typical trauma injuries in the Backcountry and how to manage.
 
Clinic will be held inside classroom to practice life saving techniques and in the field to put it all together with trauma CPR dummies.
 
Riding Clinic:
Spend the 2nd & 3rd days with the Ride Rasmussen Style instructors learning and using the backcountry snowmobile riding techniques developed by Bret Rasmussen. As a backcountry expert for Ski-Doo, Bret often referred to as The Professor, has made it his mission to help snowmobilers travel the backcountry safer having more fun with family and friends. Bret is a renowned Hill Climb Champion with several King of the Hill belt buckles. He is also named as inventor on several patents used in the snowmobile industry.

Day 2
Ride starts at 10 a.m. M.T. Rider assessment to learn everyone’s abilities and Ride Rasmussen Style Riding Clinic (learn and practice the riding positions

Day 3
Course starts at 10 a.m. M.T. Ride Rasmussen Style Clinic continues (Practice, Practice, Practice ~ it's encouraged to spend several days on the snow practicing these skills so they become second nature)

Lodging:
