Join Soulside Healing Arts and Laughing Tao Acupuncture for a collaborative yoga and acupuncture session designed to be deeply grounding and nourishing for all ages and abilities. In this gentle, restorative yoga practice, guided by April, you will invite the body into stillness and the nervous system into balance. At the beginning of the session, Glenn and Genevieve, acupuncturists at Laughing Tao Acupuncture, will place five small press tacks (tiny, taped acupuncture needles) for each participant to enhance relaxation and deepen the therapeutic effects of the yoga session. These points help regulate the stress response, calm the mind, and encourage the body’s natural healing processes while you rest.
Community acupuncture allows you to receive the benefits of treatment while surrounded by neighbors and friends in a shared healing environment. You will be asked to complete a brief consent form prior to treatment, and we recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing. Acupuncture press tacks will be placed on wrists, ankles, lower legs, or between the eyebrows. If you are highly allergic to adhesives (like band-aids), you will not be able to receive acupuncture. We look forward to creating a peaceful space where acupuncture and movement come together to support your whole health, body, and mind.
You will be asked to sign an informed consent before receiving acupuncture at this event. Acupuncture is optional.
