Remembering, Returning & Rooting Within: A Somatic Sound Journey for the New Year with Andrea Steele
Dec 31, 2025 - Dec 31, 2025

Remembering, Returning & Rooting Within: A Somatic Sound Journey for the New Year with Andrea Steele

Remembering, Returning & Rooting Within is a restorative somatic sound journey designed to help you gently shift from the energy of “doing” into a state of deep listening and embodied being.

Through the healing resonance of crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, drum, and other sound instruments, you’ll be guided to slow down and reconnect with your inner rhythm — the quiet intelligence of your body and breath.

This experience weaves together somatic awareness, sound vibration, and mindful reflection to support your nervous system in finding balance and ease. As the sound frequencies move through you, they invite release, integration, and a soft returning to your own inner landscape.

You’ll be guided through grounding practices to help settle your body, followed by an immersive sound meditation that opens the space for introspection, rest, and renewal. The session concludes with time for gentle reflection with body mapping, and a grounding tea to support integration before stepping back into the world. As always you’re encouraged to honor your body, and do what feels right for you through out this somatic sound journey. The journaling portion and tea are optional.

Participants can expect to leave feeling more centered, spacious, and attuned — rooted in self-awareness and aligned with the quieter wisdom that arises when we pause and listen from within.

Meditation: It’s Not What You Think!
Jan 18, 2026 - Jan 18, 2026
Meditation: It’s Not What You Think!
A workshop featuring a variety of easy-to-learn meditation techniques

Dr. Amen, psychiatrist and founder of the Change Your Brain Foundation says, “meditation changes your brain, it extends your life...creates more happiness…increases inner peace…lowers stress …increases mental clarity… helps support long-standing emotional problems (including fear, anxiety, depression, anger, and substance abuse)… and, in fact…it is one of the best things you can do for your brain!

And, with nothing but bad news everywhere you turn (the economy, politics, health scares), people are smothering under a blanket of stress, and meditation is one of the best ways to raise your threshold for stress.”

During this workshop, Jeni Martinez, yoga teacher and longtime meditator, will introduce you to a variety of meditation practices to determine which is the best fit for you. Once you figure out which is most comfortable for you, you can practice at home on your own.

People often say they can’t meditate because they can’t sit still or quiet their thoughts. Did you know there are ways to meditate that involve movement and/or sound? There’s even a sweet one that involves chocolate!

No matter what has kept you from meditating in the past, this workshop can help you find a better solution. You only need 90 minutes to learn these simple healing techniques. Your mental health, happiness, inner peace and clarity will benefit from this essential training.

No experience needed. All are welcome. Wear something comfortable. Dress in layers. Bring your questions and your curiosity. Meditation is not what you think!
