Saturday and Sunday, August 1 and 2 | 12:30pm - 5:30pm
A 10-Hour CEU Workshop with Cindy Kostecki | 10 Yoga Alliance CEUs
If restorative yoga is part of your teaching, this weekend will change how you offer it.
Cindy Kostecki has spent a decade teaching and deepening her study of restorative yoga, pranayama, and meditation, including direct training under Judith Hanson Lasater, the woman who brought this practice to the West and wrote the book on it, literally. Learning restorative yoga with someone who has trained in that lineage is a different experience. The attention to detail, the understanding of why each choice matters, the quality of presence required to hold space for real rest. That's what this weekend is about.
Over the course of the weekend, you’ll explore the art and science of restorative yoga, learning how to skillfully use props, breath, and subtle awareness to activate the body’s natural relaxation response. Through guided practice, thoughtful discussion, and hands-on teaching experience, you’ll develop the confidence to create profoundly nurturing experiences for yourself and others.
Over 10 hours together, you'll cover:
- The philosophy and foundational principles of restorative yoga, rooted in Lasater's teachings
- Nervous system regulation and the physiology of rest
- Prop use, pose setup, and intelligent sequencing for diverse bodies and needs
- The role of breath, language, and presence in guiding students into deep relaxation
- Adapting practices for different populations, class formats, and environments
- Hands-on teaching practice with real-time feedback
You'll practice, you'll teach, and you'll leave with the kind of clarity that makes you want to get back in the room with your students.
Open to all yoga teachers, all experience levels welcome. Registrants receive a $10 discount on the Friday evening restorative workshop. Details included in your registration confirmation.
