For the month of June, we'll be taking this class outside, to a beautiful, quiet, nearby park. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we can come back to the studio. You will be notified by email if this occurs.

Join local Somatics teacher Carolyn Pigott for this eight-week session.
Carolyn is a Registered Massage Therapist (since 2002) with extensive training in Clinical Somatics, Somatic Yoga, anatomy, and mindful movement education. She is currently enrolled in the Essential Somatics Teacher Training in Colorado Springs, and holds certifications in psychological first aid, Indigenous cultural safety, and LGBTQ2+ awareness.
Her approach blends modern pain science with somatic movement to help individuals reduce tension, manage pain, and reconnect with easeful, functional movement. Carolyn creates a supportive space where participants can explore comfort, safety, and resilience—all at their own pace.
She works with people across all stages of life, from youth developing mind-body awareness to older adults seeking comfort in life’s later chapters. Her work is grounded in the belief that movement is a powerful tool for healing, stress relief and self-awareness.

Build strength from the inside out in this focused Pilates mat class designed for beginners, with options to challenge those with more experience.
We’ll break down the fundamentals of Pilates with attention to alignment, core engagement, breathing, and efficient movement.
You’ll receive clear (optional hands-on) guidance and technique cues so each exercise is performed safely and effectively, helping you get the most out of every movement.
As you build strength, stability, and body awareness, you’ll start to notice the benefits beyond the mat. Pilates helps you move more easily, improve posture, and feel stronger and more comfortable in your everyday life.
