As we practice feeling and breathing with awareness (interoception), the neural networks in our brain that may be damaged by trauma have an opportunity to reconnect.. Although TCTSY uses hatha yoga forms, the emphasis is not on the external expression or appearance (i.e. doing it “right”). Back pain is the most common health complaint in North America and one of the top reasons for missed work days. In this module we learn about the anatomy of the spine, including the function of vertebrae and the major muscle groups that support the spine, such as the pelvic floor muscles. We will look at common back issues including sacroiliac joint pain, sciatica, scoliosis, osteoporosis, and muscle strain. The module centers on what poses help, which ones hurt, and how to sequence yoga therapy classes for people with back issues.

This class offers a steady mid-week anchor to unwind the nervous system, reconnect with yourself, and explore movement that feels both grounding and expansive. Whether you're new or returning to your mat, you’ll be welcomed into a supportive space that values accessibility, genuine connection, and a felt sense of unity with something greater.
RaRa guides you through a breath-led practice with familiar poses, props for support, and soft, soulful music. You’ll build strength and flexibility at a pace that feels nourishing, honouring your body’s natural rhythm and wisdom.
Students should be able to transition comfortably up and down from the floor.
Come soften, expand, and reconnect with your inner landscape as you create more ease and spaciousness within, and a deeper connection to the world around you. I look forward to guiding you in this weekly practice.
