Join Lisa for a 5 week exploration of the book Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes (IN-STUDIO)

Each week we will focus on a different wild woman archetype and story from the book, and engage in reflective discussion of how that archetype plays out in our own lives.

This session symbolically wraps on March 8th - International Women's Day

Family Wellness Series | Creating Stories Together Virtual

Writing can be fun for the whole family – especially when you do it together. Join author, Erica Richmond from Open Sky Stories as she guides your family through a writing practice that includes body movement, affirmations, collaborative writing activities and art! No experience required – you’ll be fully prompted with lots of space for creativity. Your family will love their front-of-the-fridge worthy final writing projects. All activities are grounded in connection, love, gratitude, and fun!

What you’ll need:

Comfortable clothes. Enough space for everyone to stretch out. Sheets of paper and something to write with (pen, pencils). Any art materials you have handy: markers, crayons, scissors, glue, old magazines, coloured pens or pencils. (use what you have). An eagerness for fun & creativity (no previous experience in fun or creativity required ☺)

Healing Crystal Bowl Sound Bath & Meditation

Imagine being immersed in beautiful sounds that are healing to your body, mind, and soul.

A sound bath session is a healing session you can experience while resting in a safe and secure place.

Sound is one of the oldest known forms of healing. Everything has a vibration and we as individuals have our own unique frequency.

In this class, you will rest comfortably and allow the vibrations of crystal bowls, a spirit drum, singing bowls, and other instruments to move through your mind and body offering awareness, insights, and healing wherever it is needed. This sound experience will bring synchronization and balance back to your body and energetic system. Time is suspended as you enter a world of vibration, sensation, and experience.

During this session, Karen will also incorporate a Kundalini meditation. The Kundalini is energy that travels up your spine, and when it is healthy and in balance it allows you to live at your best. We will close the session with time for journaling and quiet introspection of this unique experience. 

A few of the known benefits of sound healing are:

- improved sleep

- improved memory and concentration

- deep relaxation

- reduced pain and inflammation

- release of energetic blockages

- slowing down of the heart rate and brain waves

- stress reduction that soothes, purifies and harmonizes your emotions and feelings

- increase in vital energy flow, creativity, intuition, and motivation.

- balancing of both hemispheres of the brain and positive changes to our whole being.

The main purpose of sound healing is to restore harmony in our bodies and to bring peace to our lives.

Please bring a yoga mat if you intend to lay down for the class, as well as cushions, pillows, and a bottle of water to ensure you are comfortable.

 

IMPORTANT: Proof of vaccination will be required in order to attend. A second dose receipt can be shown at the door. No need to provide in advance.

Family Wellness Series | Yoga Family Staycation Virtual

Join Lisa of laLa wellness on a Yoga Family Staycation adventure on a sunshine-y, easy breezy, fun & relaxing 'beach' vacation.

We have the opportunity for up to FOUR families to join us IN-STUDIO on a first reserved, first served basis. When registering for this event, please send an email to lisa@theaurahouse.ca indicating whether you'd like to be in-studio or join us online :) We'll confirm if you've made it into one of the in-studio spots!

This class is most suitable for children aged 4 - 10 and their caregivers, but can be made fun for the whole family.

You'll breathe, move & play together through a series of poses that are beach inspired and will fill you up with lots of good energy and opportunities for family bonding.

Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in, have water handy, and be on a padded surface (whether thats a yoga mat or carpet/rug) with enough space to spread your arms & legs wide :D
