Even if you think of yourself as having no rhythm, with a little
openness to
try, you can learn and follow a beat. Drumming can make you feel
good as
you get in touch with the rhythm of your heartbeat and that of the
planet.
Dean will offer instruction and set the beat to introduce you to
the world of
Arabic drumming.
A few drums will be available - best to bring your own if you have one.
So come, enjoy, let go and have fun drumming!
Dean started drumming at age 9 and began public performances at
age 14,
launching a long journey of sharing his love of drumming with
others for
over 50 years.
He has been playing Indian tabla and Arabic drums for over
30 years.
As well as leading percussion workshops, Dean teaches Indian tabla
and
Arabic drumming privately in his home.
Proceeds are generously going toward bringing Kripalu yoga in schools through the Seat Center.
Mati will share a mix of simple meditative practices that will help you “come back to your senses”. Whether you want to begin a regular meditation practice or are a seasoned meditator who is looking to invigorate an established practice, this workshop will provide time to cultivate loving presence within our blissful beloved community.
Mati has been teaching yoga and meditation for a lifetime now, continually drawing on the refuge of her daily practice. Her highest aspirations are to stretch, strengthen and serve.
Proceeds from this workshop will go toward the Inner Bliss Scholarship Fund.
The sounds of the gongs and singing bowls facilitate the movement of energy through the body, inviting a meditative space and an opportunity for increased vitality, healing, expanded awareness and higher consciousness. The experience may be different for each person. It is our intention to create and hold a clear and safe space for all to enjoy.
There is a pulse beneath the thinking mind—a quieter, wiser intelligence that knows how to guide us toward deeper self-understanding. In the Tantra–Hatha tradition, we meet that wisdom through prana: the living movement of breath, sensation, and subtle awareness.
This immersive weekend retreat invites you to explore the heart of yoga through three experiential lenses: the focused practice, the churning practice, and the receptive practice. Together they create a full arc of inner transformation: grounding, awakening, softening, opening.
Held in the historic Stockade Inn, surrounded by beauty and comfort, this retreat offers a nourishing blend of practice, inquiry, rest, and community.
This retreat is an invitation to:
- Deepen your practice
- Engage honestly with what arises
- Honor the challenge and the sweetness
- Rest into your own inner knowing
- Allow prana to shape, guide, and speak
If you feel ready to enter a weekend of contemplative practice, courageous inquiry, and profound rest, we would be honored to share this journey with you.
