Restorative Yoga is a gentle practice that encourages deep relaxation, stress reduction, and rejuvenation. You can expect a mixture of deep breathing and mindfulness, as well as holding supported, passive poses for two to ten minutes - all sequenced to help you tap into your relaxation response!
The flows will include basic floor postures, such as supported back-bends, twists, and an occasional inversion. While we will offer modifications; please let us know ahead of time if you have any special considerations.
So reset and restore as we embrace change with this Autumn Restorative Yoga series.
Class meets each Wednesday for four weeks in a row. Total price for all four sessions is $55, or drop into a single class for $15.

Yoga asanas, or postures, prepare the mind and body for concentration and meditation in this 3-hour workshop.
We will practice asanas and be taught to create a mandala to practice the Yogic concepts of dharana (concentration) and dhyana (meditation). It’s impossible to ‘empty’ the mind, but we can train it to become so completely absorbed with one thing that we lose all sense of time and space. This is the process of dharana and dhyana.
A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol. It can be understood in two different ways: externally as a visual representation of the universe, or internally as a guide to connect with universal energy. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the belief is that by entering the mandala and proceeding towards its center, you are guided through the cosmic process of transforming the universe from one of suffering into one of joy and happiness.
