Standing your Ground: Stability and Mobility through Standing Poses with Karen Allgire
- Study and chant selected Yoga Sutras

The standing poses are our foundation in āsana practice. Standing poses help us feel grounded, competent and confident.
In this workshop, you will learn how the standing poses bring both freedom of movement, and balance and stability. We will also examine how standing asanas relate to and enhance other categories of poses such as forward extensions, twists and backbends.
Along the way, Karen will also share ideas about how to work with common physical problems that we encounter in āsana practice.

Kristie's Red Tent (est. January 2024) is now a ‘wandering women’s circle’ that meets monthly for themed events across NE Ohio. Join Kristie Leahy Comsia and special guest facilitators for two hours of learning and inquiry on special topics. We are deeply grateful for the studios who are willing to host our community, and we hope you’ll join us at Yoga Central on the following dates:
