Yogi's Guide to the Seasons
Feb 21, 2026 - May 16, 2026
Saturday, Nov. 15th. Yogi's Guide to Winter
Saturday, Feb. 21st. Yogi's Guide to Spring
Saturday, May 16th. Yogi's Guide to Summer

Winter: Vata season (fall/early winter) is upon us and for many, that means holiday stress, multiple family gatherings, and a major uptick in social engagements. It’s no wonder we become more distracted, anxious and overwhelmed at precisely the time of year our body would like us to be hibernating and going within. In this engaging workshop, well look through the lens of Ayurveda to see how our choices around our lifestyle, nutrition, and asana practices are either nourishing or depleting us. Youll enjoy a grounding, vata-soothing yoga session, and will leave with tools and recommendations that will build Ojas (think immunity, strength), alleviate stress, and nourish you through the winter season ahead.

Spring: Springtime is kapha season on the Ayurvedic calendar; a time to climb out of winter’s hibernation, wipe the sleep from our eyes, and get the body moving! Using the lens of Ayurveda, we’ll look at the anatomical region of the chest, lungs, and shoulders - the seat of kapha dosha. You’ll learn best practices for building heat, clearing congestion, and stimulating the flow of prana in an energizing asana practice that will wake up your body and clear the winter blues from your brain.

Summer: The fire element is strongest in the summer months, frequently resulting in spikes of temperature and temper! We’ll look at the anatomy of the gut - the seat of pitta - from an Ayurvedic perspective, identify the 4 types of digestive strength, then put it together in a refreshing pitta-balancing asana class designed to keep our internal inferno in check. You can expect plenty of lateral bends & twists to open the side vents, release excess heat/pitta, and improve your digestive strength. Soothing, soft, and steady is the name of the summertime game.

Self Massage for Yogis: A Self Myofascial Release Workshop
Mar 7, 2026 - Mar 7, 2026

Backed by Science. Proven by Results.

Join us for 90 minute workshop to increase your range of motion, optimize muscle function, and ease tight areas.

Self-myofascial release (SMFR) is a powerful, research-supported method for easing muscle and joint discomfort, improving flexibility, and restoring ease of movement.

Why SMFR Works

Research shows that SMFR tools like foam rollers, massage balls, and massage sticks can significantly reduce pain by encouraging muscle relaxation and calming the nervous system. By stimulating key receptors in the body, SMR helps release tension and promote relief—often quickly.

SMFR isn’t just helpful for temporary soreness. Studies also confirm its effectiveness in managing ongoing muscle and joint discomfort, making it a valuable tool for long-term movement health.

Another major benefit? Improved mobility. Regular SMR has been shown to increase joint range of motion and flexibility without negatively affecting strength or performance—so you move better without sacrificing power.

SMFR is also proven to reduce post-workout soreness, helping your body recover faster after intense activity.

Whether used before movement to prepare the body or after exercise to support recovery, SMR is a simple, evidence-based practice that helps you feel better, move better, and recover smarter.
