I tried this class today and was very pleased. I have recently been diagnosed with moderate osteoarthritis in my hip and have been unable to do alot of the yoga moves I did before. This was just right to help me transition back into a more active yoga class , if possible.) I will probably come back when the time works with my schedule! Thanks to Kathy ,Gloria and Ruthie for suggesting!
Great class, even for beginner. Had some problems with some of the poses, but did the best I could. Will attend again.
When I realized it was time to "trim down and tone up" I knew that LJ's was the logical place to start since I'm already a member (my self-directed exercise regimen focused almost exclusively on cardio). I scheduled an appointment with a personal trainer and showed up not really knowing who or what to expect. Boy, did I hit the motherlode! My trainer TIM far exceeded whatever expectations I had. He was friendly, thoughtful, and thorough in assessing my physical capabilities, exercise interests, and current state of fitness before we began working out. He demonstrated and guided me through a series of exercises as he reviewed my abilities, form, and stamina. I never felt that he pushed me beyond what I could endure, yet he challenged me to push through the minor discomfort that comes with concerted physical effort. I know I will be able to achieve my goals with the expertise and encouragement of Tim. I can't wait for my next session!
Jack was grea! He took his time in explaining how to set up and properly use the machines. The various/quantity of machines are quite impressive.
I have been very thankful for the Liit classes. I love Lauren and also found Beth to be a joy. Thank you for providing these classes for us.

I had one previous experience with personal training (before LJs) and that experience it was disappointing. Getting older (65 now), and having let myself get very out of shape, I found myself in a bad state and not sure what to do. My interest is in functional strength and fitness. I did start working out and made some progress on both cardio and strength, but it fell well short of really improving my functional strength. So I took the plunge and signed up for personal training.
What a difference experience. I didn't need someone to just beat me up in the gym. Tim did a full evaluation of my current state and took the time to understand my goals. He explained what we were going to do, and more importantly, why we were doing it. He tweaked things based on my feedback to the plan. It's only 3 weeks since we started, but the initial results are remarkable. I can feel the exercises hitting and improving weak areas that I didn't even know I had. I already feel stronger and feel better. My wife commented that she can tell I feel better just looking at me.
Beyond the initial results, I love the routine. It's doable yet challenging and matches what I like to do. He's mapped out the next steps and how it will take me to the next level which I'm excited to get to.
I am soon approaching my one year anniversary and joining LJ's has been one of the best decisions I made. I love the classes, the positivity & how welcoming everyone is. The Zoom classes has really been a game changer for me! Its great doing classes in the comfort of your home. I never miss a class and can even do more classes than if I was limited to attending in person. I also feel better with more frequent workouts. If you haven't yet tried the Zoom classes yet I highly recommend it!
